The Cider Mill
Since 1977, Plymouth Orchards has grown to accomodate the growing number of visitors from the surrounding communities. We started with a simple concept along with sixty acres and nine varieties of apples. In 1987 the original milkhouse was converted into a cidermill. That same year, Plymouth Orchards began its inaugural operations with a humble three weekend 100 gallon hand pressed cider season.
While the operations were expanded to what you see now, the original concept of simplicity is still the ideal which drives Plymouth Orchards to this day.
School Tours
School tours and lunches are by reservation only, M-F 9am - 3pm. To make a reservation call 734-455-2290. Later tour times are available upon request.
Our school group tours include a 15 minute fun fact presentation on the basic operations of the orchard. In addition, the children will enjoy picking an apple during their wagon ride around the orchard. The final stop of the tour will be in our dining room or our enclosed pavilion for a fresh baked donut and a cup of apple cider.
Small pumpkins may be available to pick after October 1st. This can be added to your tour for a small fee
If you plan on having lunch at the orchard after your tour our event planners need to know. Location and seating is subject to availability.
After the one hour staff-guided tour, and as your time allows, you may wish to observe a variety of farm animals or visit our retail store.
