Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill got its start with the first 5,000 trees planted in 1977. History and family have kept our team going every season – and our cider mill and orchard growing. We love sharing our history (LINK) with you, and seeing the recipes you create with the apples and ingredients you find right here.
Each fall, our pies make it to your Thanksgiving table. For those who bake their own pies, we would like to share a very special recipe (LINK). Michael Adsit honors his grandmother by baking up her family recipe for a perfect apple pie each season. Mayme Bramer Adsit, was a remarkable woman, he said.
She worked as a school teacher in the early 1900’s, was a farm wife, library president and well known as a wonderful cook. Her apple pies were snapped up so fast at church bake sales you might miss them if you weren’t ready to buy.
If you’ve been searching for a perfect apple pie recipe to try at home, we offer up Grandmother Adsit’s Apple Pie. Try it at home this season.
